Dear Coffs Coast Athletics Club Members and supporters,
As the 2024/2025 season draws to a close, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been an incredible year for our club, while also sharing some important updates and reminders.
Final Round Cancellation
Unfortunately, we must advise that our final round of competition, scheduled for this weekend, is unable to go ahead. This is due to the council’s decision to close the grounds following the large amount of rain the Coffs Coast has experienced as a result of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. While this is disappointing, we are grateful for the amazing season we’ve had and the dedication shown by all our members, athletes, and supporters.
Thank You to Our Volunteers
A huge thank you must go to our incredible volunteers who have made this season such a success. From setting up equipment to officiating, timing, scoring, and everything in between, your tireless efforts have ensured our athletes had the opportunity to compete, improve, and enjoy the sport we all love. We truly could not have done it without you – thank you for your generosity and commitment!
Club Presentation – Save the Date and RSVP!
We are excited to invite you all to our Club Presentation, where we will celebrate the achievements of our athletes and the contributions of our members. This special afternoon will take place on Thursday, 27th March at York Street Oval. It’s a wonderful opportunity to come together as a club, reflect on the season, and recognise the hard work and successes of our athletes and volunteers. Club registrations have an online RSVP, and if you have not done this yet, we ask that you please complete it now to help us with planning. We look forward to seeing you there!
Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Get Involved!
We encourage all members to attend our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday, 1st April at The Hoey Moey. The AGM is a vital part of ensuring the future of our club, as it is where we elect our committee and plan for the upcoming season. Volunteering on the committee is a rewarding way to contribute to the club’s success, and we warmly welcome members to consider nominating for a role. Your involvement helps guarantee that Coffs Coast Athletics Club continues to thrive for years to come.
End of Season Feedback Survey
As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we invite all members to participate in our annual End of Season Feedback Survey. This survey is completely anonymous, so we encourage you to be open and honest with your feedback. Your input is invaluable in helping us shape the future of the club and ensure we are meeting the needs of our members. Best Wishes to Our State Championship and National Athletes
We would like to extend our best wishes to all our members who will be representing Coffs Coast Athletics Club at the upcoming State Championships in Sydney. We are incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication, and we know you will do our club proud. Go out there and give it your all!
A special shout-out goes to our athletes Evie and Thomas(EOI), who have achieved the remarkable honour of receiving National invites to compete at the upcoming Nationals next month. We wish you both the very best as you represent our club on the national stage – congratulations on your outstanding achievements!
Closing Thoughts
Thank you once again for making this season one to remember. Your enthusiasm, sportsmanship, and support have made Coffs Coast Athletics Club a wonderful community to be part of. We look forward to celebrating with you at the Presentation Night and AGM, and to seeing you all back for an even bigger and better season next year.
