LANSW rules update – June 2015 [updated Saturday, 1 August 2015]
- Spike Shoes must not to be worn by U6-U10 athletes. The youngest age group for spiked shoes is U11.
- Starting blocks can only be used by athletes U11 and above.
- U9 athletes MUST do the scissor jump for high jump in 2015/16. Athletes doing the scissor jump must land on their feet. This rule will also apply to the U10 age group from the 2016/2017 season.
- Javelin (400g) is being introduced in 2015/2016 as a new event for U11 athletes.
